Our cat is a golden retriever, so he is a breed that is prone to lymph node enlargement. We are only using a very small portion of the lymph node, which we dont need to remove, so we have no idea if this is a coincidence.
In the end, the answer is that I don’t know. Our veterinarian and we are both very experienced at removing lymph nodes from our cat, and the only other time the vet has said anything about this is when we were trying to figure out why our cat had enlarged lymph nodes when he was just a puppy. We’ve never heard of this happening to people, so I can’t say for certain.
